Bradford Live are releasing a series of Podcasts as part of a programme of heritage activity funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund which will share the history and redevelopment of one of Bradford’s most loved buildings with the people of the city.
During 2019, Bradford Live started the process of redeveloping Bradford’s former Odeon building. This work was funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and was captured by time-lapse cameras.
In this, the third of our new series of podcasts, we share what it was like for the Bradford Live team to take on the mammoth task of restoring the building's auditorium, illustrated by some incredible footage of the removal of 1960's steel and concrete.
If you’ve enjoyed this podcast, don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more history and heritage along with insight and updates from the Bradford Live team.
